Hey Alicia, My son has been serving in the Navy for 2 and a 1/2 years. He is on the USS George Washington stationed in Japan. Tell your daughter congrats with the up coming marriage to her sailor.
Not at all, not many people ask. I was always stationed on the East Coast; Mayport, Fl; Norfolk, VA; Philadelphia, PA. Usually it does matter where your stationed as to where you get to go. East Coast usually makes Atlantic and Mediteranean cruises. West Coast makes Pacific and Indian ocean cruises. A typical cruise is 6 months long each. I was fortunate enough to make two world cruises, they are 9 months long.
It's the same in the Navy, hurry up and wait, then wait some more.
I did get to see the world. I made two World Cruises. Been through the Panama and Suez canals twice each. I've been everywhere, from Scotland to Buenos Aires and Austrailia to Hawaii. My favorites were Italy and Spain.
Thanks for the friend request it ie gladly accepted. I am wondering why you did not read my blog, Time For Action, very well. It says when the LAST VESTIGES of tne constitution have been trampled down by the present administration... The decimation of our constituion began in earnest in 1963 with help from some help from some presidents, members of congress and supreme court judges. Thanks for reading it though. &nb sp; &nb sp; Marshall
