Joe Stack had enough and took direct action. It's not surprising. What's surprising is that more people don't attack the government. But not really so surprising. The violent people mostly work for the government after all.
A third of the people in the U.S. work for the government. More depend on the government for contracts or work for government contractors. It's pretty clear why we can't get any real reform in tax law. What did surprise me was the anger against Joe Stack and sympathy for IRS workers. Even Jesus Christ had no use for tax collectors - Mt 18:15-17. IRS employees go out of their way to be nasty, hurtful and cause loss to people out of incompetence and lazyness. They are the sick criminals, not us. I think Joe went too far, but only because I don't think any of the criminals in that IRS building were worth his life. If lightning had stricken that building and killed all 200 of the parasites, I would not have shed a tear.
All this tells me that there are a lot of people in this country who love the IRS; it's a money funnel from us to them. Notice that one not very effective attack on an IRS building looked like someone kicked over an ant hill. What a huge hoopla by the government. How much harm does the IRS cause each year through mistakes, lazyness and out and out ill will and corruption? How much suffering? Why isn't the government upset about the damage done to non government people? We're just stock to them. But touch one hair on the head of one of the government over class.
Can anyone tell me the annual budget of the IRS? I bet not. That number is one of the best kept secrets in our country. Now the government is out to characterize Joe Stacks actions. They have already begun a fear campaign. The IRS declared that they know who all the people are who would engage in a tax revolt and that they will get them. The FBI forced the site that had Joe Stacks suicide note to delete it...too late, it's all over the web. The government is talking about limitations on personal aircraft and security measures to protect IRS employees. Wow. If I had that many people who hate me I'd start looking at what I'm doing wrong. But they already know what they're doing wrong. They are systematically stealing the livelyhood from the people of this country.
Lets face it. people work in the government not for public service, but to enrich themselves, or at least to get a paycheck without really having to produce anything. Guess where all that money comes from? We have all seen the list of taxes, fees, sur taxes, penalties and so on for everything from gas, to cel phones, to a fishing license. It's a pay as you go government with a huge balloon payment at the end of the year. So you own your own home do you? Stop paying your property tax and see who really owns your home. You rent your home from the government. Saved all your life to leave something for your kids? Not until the government gets it's half you don't.
The answer: Pass a measure in every state with the initiative process - about 38 states I think. Make it illegal for companies doing business in the state to withhold from employees pay. If it's not already the law make any new tax or increase go to a vote of the people. Then roll back existing state taxes and make it illegal for agencies to charge fees for service.
Lets get rid of a bunch of government and return to a manufacturing base while we still have a country. I really don't know what it will take for people to realize that our government is interested only in harming the American people for self profit. It's our duty under the Constitution to change this government back to a law abiding citizen controlled organization.
