The poor IRS
Posted On 02/21/2010 11:05:57 by foodgrade

Joe Stack had enough and took direct action. It's not surprising. What's surprising is that more people don't attack the government. But not really so surprising. The violent people mostly work for the government after all.

A third of the people in the U.S. work for the government. More depend on the government for contracts or work for government contractors. It's pretty clear why we can't get any real reform in tax law. What did surprise me was the anger against Joe Stack and sympathy for IRS workers. Even Jesus Christ had no use for tax collectors - Mt 18:15-17. IRS employees go out of their way to be nasty, hurtful and cause loss to people out of incompetence and lazyness. They are the sick criminals, not us. I think Joe went too far, but only because I don't think any of the criminals in that IRS building were worth his life. If lightning had stricken that building and killed all 200 of the parasites, I would not have shed a tear.

All this tells me that there are a lot of people in this country who love the IRS; it's a money funnel from us to them. Notice that one not very effective attack on an IRS building looked like someone kicked over an ant hill. What a huge hoopla by the government. How much harm does the IRS cause each year through mistakes, lazyness and out and out ill will and corruption? How much suffering? Why isn't the government upset about the damage done to non government people? We're just stock to them. But touch one hair on the head of one of the government over class.

Can anyone tell me the annual budget of the IRS? I bet not. That number is one of the best kept secrets in our country. Now the government is out to characterize Joe Stacks actions. They have already begun a fear campaign. The IRS declared that they know who all the people are who would engage in a tax revolt and that they will get them. The FBI forced the site that had Joe Stacks suicide note to delete it...too late, it's all over the web. The government is talking about limitations on personal aircraft and security measures to protect IRS employees. Wow. If I had that many people who hate me I'd start looking at what I'm doing wrong. But they already know what they're doing wrong. They are systematically stealing the livelyhood from the people of this country.

Lets face it. people work in the government not for public service, but to enrich themselves, or at least to get a paycheck without really having to produce anything. Guess where all that money comes from? We have all seen the list of taxes, fees, sur taxes, penalties and so on for everything from gas, to cel phones, to a fishing license. It's a pay as you go government with a huge balloon payment at the end of the year. So you own your own home do you? Stop paying your property tax and see who really owns your home. You rent your home from the government. Saved all your life to leave something for your kids? Not until the government gets it's half you don't.

The answer: Pass a measure in every state with the initiative process - about 38 states I think. Make it illegal for companies doing business in the state to withhold from employees pay. If it's not already the law make any new tax or increase go to a vote of the people. Then roll back existing state taxes and make it illegal for agencies to charge fees for service.

Lets get rid of a bunch of government and return to a manufacturing base while we still have a country. I really don't know what it will take for people to realize that our government is interested only in harming the American people for self profit. It's our duty under the Constitution to change this government back to a law abiding citizen controlled organization.

Flat tax...Flat tax...Flat tax from the very rich to the bottom..... equalize the playing field for everyone .....corporations..... especially those that hide their wealth off shore ....and lets not forget the bureaucrats !

Many years ago I was a private contractor to the government....the U.S. Navy. Around 1980 congress inacted the Guarantee Payment Act....guaranteeing private contractors to the fed payment between 30-45 days...if not they would add 1 percent per annum to your bill. If you gave the fed a discount ....say between 5-10 percent if paid between 30-45 days your bill(s) would go to the top of the pile of bills the fed had to pay. But this didn't happen ! Why you might ask yourself....well what really happened was the fed put all small bills on the bottom of the payment pile and paid off the multibillion dollar contractors because 1 percent of say 7 billion dollars is a lot more than my measly 100-300 dollar amounts.I had my monies tied up in overhead, payroll, insurance...on and on. It eventually got so bad that I had to shut my doors...this is after my father and I worked for over 25 years to get the business where it was in 1980. At the time I closed down the Navy (fed) owed me over 16 thousand dollars in unpaid bills ! That year I refused to pay my business taxes both state and federal. What I got in return was an I.R.S. tax auddit and pulled into tax court ! I represented myself...no attorney at all. I took all of my accounting books into the court. I basically told the judge that I would pay in full every cent I owed on my state and my federal taxes as soon as the fed paid me with interest the monies that were owed me....some of which was over 3 years old! The judge agreed and ruled in my favor. Most but not all of the Navy's money eventually got to me. But what I did get in return for showing up the I.R.S. in court that day was auddits by them for almost 7 years! In the end .....in retrospect the Navy and the government lost out because they went months with no repairs to their equipment. The service that eventually came to them did so from Los Angeles to San Diego...charging them a bunch just to travel there, and we ended up with a business that was no more...after 25 years of service. All this because some bureaucrat cut corners to pay off the big guys !

How right you are in all you say.  I've always wondered how anyone could work for the IRS and have a consicence.  Well, they don't have a consicence.

Even in the bible it states that after 7 years a debt should no longer be due due to forgiveness and such, but you know they never forget or forgive, for all they do is sell your debt to a collection agency who buys it pennies on the dollar and then the collection agency works hard trying to collect it for years and years to come.

I myself own only my home, and you are correct, if I were to stop paying the yearly taxes on it, it would be hell to pay in many ways, that is why, I live in what many would consider a dump, yet it's paid for.  Now before I die, if my wife should go before me, I've got plans to give it to a family who is homeless, if God willing, and have kids.  I'm not asking for a red cent.  All I request in return is that I remain living there and for them to take care of me until my death.  Then all they have to do is call Science Care who I've already donated my body to upon my death.

I saw on TV the other day about an 88 year old business owner has left his business to his employees.  He was told that he could sell it for millions of dollars, but he said no to all that.  His employees to him were like family and now that is what I call an act of God which is within the man that not many can do, no matter how much money that may have already accumulated.

You are so right on about what should be done, but I look at this way.  The majority of our leaders are lawyers, and how many are going to make laws that may deny themselves some pork at the taxpayers expense?  They aren't about the kill the golden goose that has been laying golden eggs for quite a long time.  That is why I truly believe no lawyer should ever be in position of making laws when it come to the people.  For they are not going to pass laws that restrict themselves.  That's why tort reform is always brought up but that's all.  It's just brought up.  They need clients and who better than a doctor who as as much if not more money than they do.  You can't sue a poor man who has nothing.

The wrong people are always being voted in.  Why?  Because they know how to make money.  We need people who are honest, truthfull and not greedy and power hungry.  They are out there, but how many of them have the money to run for any office?  Very few.   Like one statement in the Bible that says,  "No one listens to a poor man."   How true those words are and yet truth has nothing to do pertaining to our government.  Unless the truth points to them, then they are the truth and the rest of us are just a small group amongst the poor and ignorant.  Why do you think government is really trying to play down the tea party movement.  They ingnore it because it's to much truth in one place and they can't stand the heat, that is why they keep bashing it and the people that are in it, no matter what level of class one is or political party one is registered as, if you are a tea partier you are a radical to them and they will never change until we change them out of office in all levels of our country.  The IRS as you said, has grown to a monster, within the government and our monster government is about to shove health care down our throats no matter what we do or say or how we voted in Mass.

It's going to get pretty hairy out there and we've just seen the beginning.

God bless
